Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to essentially design their own car. Each time a selection is made, a pattern will emerge that reveals the model and color preferences for the custom Bentley.
The configuration that is created is saved to individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys which are presented to guests in a custom-made key case. Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man-hours to build and assemble the Mulsanne. The key to this time-consuming effort is a deliberate decision to take advantage of modern technology.
